Subject: 10460/Amend-2:Define Frontage Date: Tue, 24 Apr 1990 11:55:00 -0500 ORDINANCE NO. 10460 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS TO AMEND ARTICLE II, SECTION 100(38), RELATIVE TO THE DEFINITION OF FRONTAGE. __________________________ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as amended, the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended so as to amend Article II, Section 100 (38) relative to the definition of frontage. SECTION 1. That Article II, Section 100(38) be deleted in its entirety and substitute in lieu thereof the following: 100.(38) Frontage: The width of the property measured along the dedicated street right-of-way except that lot frontage on cul-de-sac turn-arounds or short radius curves may be less than the lot frontage required by this Zoning Ordinance, provided that the lot has the required minimum lot frontage at (1) the rear of the required front yard, or (2) the building setback line as shown on the plat, or (3) in the case of a flag lot, the narrowest part not in that part that extends to the street. The minimum lot frontage on the dedicated street right-of-way for a residential flag lot shall not be less than twenty-five (25) feet, (except in cases where an existing structure(s) and its required side yard could not be accommodated, then the width shall not be less than fifteen (15) feet) capable of being for ingress and egress. SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as required by law.
